Umbrella approached me because they wanted to turn their website from a single-service platform to a multi-service hub as the company was undergoing a significant transformation and needed an upgrade. Recognizing the importance of reflecting their expanded services and evolving mission, they sought a redesign that would clearly communicate their services within strategy, coaching and recruitment with a focus on diversity. By revamping the site, I aimed to create a cohesive and engaging user experience that highlights their three, well-aligned services, thereby enhancing their value proposition and supporting their growth objectives.

The Challenge

Redesign the website to deliver a clearer, more cohesive message, transforming it from a single-service platform to a multi-service hub ensuring that all offerings are seamlessly integrated and provides a comprehensive solution for their clients.

Solution

The website was transformed from a text-overloaded homepage to a streamlined landing page that prominently features the three main services, allowing users to click on each service for more detailed information. This approach simplified the user experience, making it easier for visitors to navigate and understand Umbrella's offerings. To support this new structure, additional subpages were created, and existing text was carefully edited for clarity and impact. Consistent use of color was employed to distinguish the different services, enhancing visual appeal and aiding user navigation. The image selection was also revamped to focus on diversity, reinforcing the brand's commitment to inclusivity and enhancing the overall message. This redesign not only modernized the website but also aligned it more closely with Umbrella's evolving mission and values.

Design process

In the design process, I utilized Umbrella's existing brand identity—color, font, and logo—making slight color adjustments to enhance the website's inclusivity and effectiveness. We also conducted strategy meetings to define Umbrella's purpose, target audience, and future marketing strategy alongside the website redesign. I sketched the layouts in Figma before building the final site in Wix, ensuring a cohesive and visually appealing result.
