Hardangervidda, Norway

Colours of the moon

Throughout my life, I’ve spent many weekends and holidays in Hardangervidda, Europe’s largest mountain plateau. As a passionate kiter, I’ve embraced both the exhilaration and challenges of the sport, and it was this personal journey that inspired me to dedicate four years to capturing the fleeting moments of light, movement, and human presence in this dramatic, moon-like landscape. The series focuses specifically on kiters, exploring how their activity interacts with the terrain, wind, and weather. Through these images, I reflect on both the beauty and fragility of nature. The work invites viewers to consider how changing climates and human activity may affect the ways we experience these places, and what might be lost if we fail to value and protect them.

Paris

Paris mon amour

This project captures my love for street photography in Paris, a city that never fails to surprise with its moments of humor, reflection, and love. As someone with French roots, it’s not just family that brings me back, but the urge to capture the unpredictable moments that unfold before my eyes. Paris, the city that never sleeps, is a constant source of inspiration. I focus on capturing the quiet moments of bliss amidst the bustle, where the landscape and architecture offer a much-needed pause from the energy of the city. Through these images, I explore how the city’s design creates spaces for both rest and reflection, showcasing the contrast between the frenetic pace of life and the serene pockets of calm.

Paris

Le dejeuner

This series of photographs captures one of my favorite pastimes in Paris – people watching. Taken at a peaceful, sunlit lunch spot, the images reflect the unique blend of serenity and energy that defines the city. Set in La Défense, Europe’s largest business district, the photos feature people sitting on the steps of the Grand Arche, where old and new converge. The images explore the encounter between humans and monumental urban structures, while also inviting reflection on the beauty of everyday moments: casual conversations, shared love for the city, and fleeting interactions between locals, visitors, and iconic architecture. The series celebrates these small, often overlooked moments that give life depth and meaning, creating room and a pause for community and relationships, while reflecting on the cultural significance of taking time to share a midday meal, even in informal settings, for many Parisians.

Vietnam

Ho Chi Minh

During a three-week journey through Vietnam, I spent hours observing the chaotic traffic in Ho Chi Minh City, where toddlers cling to mopeds with little more than their parents’ instinct to protect them. The city’s streets are a study in improvisation and risk—a delicate choreography of movement, speed, and survival that feels highly precarious to tourists, yet operates as its own system. Through this series, I reflect on the similarities and differences between this culture and my own upbringing, where child safety is carefully managed.
